Ministry Opportunities

We continue to have the weekly Bible study via internet with the group in Brazil.  Those who have remained faithful to the weekly study have told us how it has been a blessing to them.  One of these men is discipling some of his employees during their lunch break each day.  He asked me to speak with one of his disciples about trusting Christ.  The young man surprised us both by saying that he had received Christ at home after one of the studies just two weeks before.  I now have one more “spiritual grandchild”.  Praise the Lord for the opportunity to have planted seed years ago that is producing a secondary harvest.

Since our last letter, our 11-year-old granddaughter Emily was baptized.  This world offers many “pleasurable” attractions which lead to paths outside of God’s will.  God has been so good to our family by graciously preserving us all in His path.  Three of our grandchildren are in state colleges, but all three have remained firm in their faith in the Lord.  In August, our granddaughter Melissa who graduated from college a year ago will be marrying a young man she met at a youth gathering.  They are both working in international business.  More importantly, they both love the Lord and want to serve Him.

Once again, we want to remind you that our web page is online.  We have added blogs since just before Christmas hoping to be an encouragement to all who take the time to read them.  There is also a calendar which you can consult to see about our availability to preach.  Please be praying about the web page.  At this moment, our server does not allow those in Brazil to log on.  Our web tech is in the process of moving our page to a server that will allow those here and in Brazil to access the page.  Pray that this will be resolved quickly.

Prayer Requests

We thank you for your constant prayers.  God is truly blessing and using us for His glory.  Please pray for:

1. Our son Benjamin in Brazil who will soon be undergoing another procedure for urinary infections.
2. Our friend Pastor Nilton Malves since 1976 will have surgery on February 9 for prostate cancer.
3. Fernando and Sandra Canato (Friends in Brazil): He is without a job, and her health issues continue.
4. Mike Johnson, Don’s brother-in-law, was diagnosed with cancer. He is a converted Mormon with a great testimony.
